Narrative text is a text contains about a story and mainly used to amuse the readers.  A narrative can also be used to stimulate emotion or to teach. In some of narrative text we can find the moral value, something that we can learn from the story. So, it doesn’t only entertain the readers, but also gives us valuable message.

The structure of the text is:

* Orientation (beginning or introduction): introduces main characters, setting and time.

* Complication (middle): the problem  happens among the characters.

* Resolution (ending) : the problem is resolved




     One day the wolf was shaking his thirst at a stream when he chanced to see a lamb, also drinking, a some distance down the stream.

     Outraged, he growled.


    You are muddying my drinking water, now I shall eat you.”

    The lamb protested, “But, Sir, how can I be muddying your drinking water? I am farther downstream than you are. The water is flowing from your part to where I am.”


   “Upstream or downstream, your drinking is muddying my water, and I shall eat you.” After saying, the wolf leaped upon the lamb and devoured him.
